MELBOURNE + TASMANIA PHOTO DIARY

Sunday, 11 January 2015

So as most of you know I recently travelled to Melbourne and Tasmania with my family, so I thought I would share some of the photos that I took during our stay! These are just a few, however there are many more on my instagram if you would like to have a peek! :)

Firstly we arrived in Melbourne, which was absolutely incredible- a must for anyone travelling in Australia! We stayed on Flinders Street, which was nice and central making it easy for us to go out and visit a lot of the tourist sites during our stay. I would definitely recommend Brunswick Street for any keen shopper in Melbourne, the amount of boutiques and second-hand stores was great and everything was so so cheap!

After 5 days in Melbourne, we hopped on another plane that took us to the beautiful island of Tasmania. We spent about 2 weeks driving all around the island, which had the most beautiful scenery! The food was also amazing- soo much seafood!

Somewhere I would definitely recommend visiting for anyone in Hobart is MONA, a huge museum just out of the city. It has pretty weird stuff, but is so worth the visit as it is completely unlike anything else I've ever visited.

Sleepy Bay in Freycinet National Park was also extremely beautiful, with crystal-clear water and lots of little rockpools. It's definitely worth a visit!

So there you have it! I hope you enjoyed this little holiday post. I am just SO excited to be back into the swing of things blog-wise and have so many new ideas!! xx

Was it a job offer that one of your family members got? I was just thinking as I am a girl from Europe (Finland to be exact) and I', currently Living in New Zealand.

    1. Hello Miina, thanks for stopping by! I was born in Australia, as were both my parents so that's pretty much the only reason I'm here! I love Australia, but I also LOVE travelling to other countries so I doubt I will live here my whole life :) xx

  3. Good golly, I actually love Melbourne so much. I'm glad to hear you had a similarly terrific time! The street art, food, fashion and music scene exceed Perth so much hahah. I'll have to add Tasmania on my travel list now, so thank you for that ;)

    1. thank you so much Madeline, I'm glad you enjoyed the post! :) For some of these I actually just shot them with my Iphone 4s then edited using VSCOcam, but for the majority I use my DSLR camera (It's a Pentax k-x with a sigma lens). But seriously you don't need a DSLR to take good blog photos, anything from your phone camera to a simple point-and-shoot will do well as long as you make sure it's in focus :) good luck lovely, hope this helps! xx
