Hello loves! I'm pretty darn excited about this DIY; I've been seeing ones like this on urban outfitters and pinterest a lot lately but could never justify the prices... sooo I made my own! I'm really happy with how it turned out, it cost next to nothing and was able to be whipped up in an afternoon. Enjoy! x

1// Gather your supplies. For this DIY you will need three sticks of roughly the same length, string, paint and paintbrushes, fabric, scissors and a glue gun.

2// Begin by painting a pattern of your choice onto a stick. I stuck with a simple pattern of lines, dots and triangles.

3// If you want a more opaque finish, wait for the first coat to dry and then go in with a second coat.

4// Repeat this on all three sticks.
5// Cut a long piece of string and tie to each end of one of the sticks- this will hold the hanging on the wall. Then cut pieces of string of the same length (mine were about 30cm, this ended up making the sticks 11cm apart once I'd tied it on) and tie the three sticks together.

6// Cut a piece of fabric the same length of the sticks and however long you want the fringe to be.

7// Cut the fabric into a fringe with fabric scissors.

8// Use a glue gun to attach the fringe to the bottom stick... and voila! You're done!

Heyyyyy guys woah it's been a while- 2 weeks feels like way too long. BUT I'm back on da internets with a new playlist of music I've been loving this past month. It's a bit of an eclectic mix this time around, and of course my number one gal Meg Mac made it on there not once but twice. Hope you enjoy- here's the link!

In other news, I've been working on a couple of pretty kewl posts which should be up sooner rather than later, so keep your eyes peeled for that! I've also getting a few people asking me on tumblr for a Q&A type thing- let me know if that's something you want to see (and leave yo questions) so we can make that happen! x

Chicabooti turtleneck (similar), Dotti skirt (similar), vintage Levi's jacket, London Rebel shoes (similar), Cheep necklace

HEY AMIGOS! Long time no fashion post?? After quite a few requests to do more ootd-type things on my blog, I decided I'd take the plunge and this is the result! I procrastinated SO HARD on this post that even I'm impressed... sorry to those of you who've been asking for it for a while. If you guys would like to see more of this sort of thing, for sure let me know!

I recently bought this skirt for $5 at a DFO and really love it. I wear skirts pretty much non-stop, so it was great to add this one to the collection! In other news, I've done a grand sum of nothing for the past few days- unless trawling through pinterest and drinking too much coffee are seen as legitimate pastimes. What have you all been up to? Much love x

Hola! Those of you who follow me on instagram will know that I recently came back from a week in Melbs as part of my work with a really cool organisation called Oaktree (is that shameless advertising? (yes) (bite me)). We spent a weekend at the conference, and the rest of the time going shopping and drinking too much coffee- great for me, not so great for my bank account... but HEY it's a holiday so #noragrets. As much as I love Western Australia this trip really cemented in my mind just how freaking great Melbourne is and I can't wait to go back!

The new uni semester officially started last week. I've actually managed to fall behind before tutes even started; I got all four wisdom teeth out on Monday and have been looking like too much of a chipmunk to attend most of my classes. Despite already being slightly overwhelmed, I'm really excited for my units this semester. I decided last-minute to switch out of my Anatomy unit into Political Science and International Relations, and have already fallen in love with it even though all the political jargon sounds like a foreign language to a science student like me!

Weelll that's about it for me! What have you all been up to? Much love x
