Heya! Today's post is SUPER EXCITING because I've teamed up with Annie from Something Swell to bring you this collab. The aim was to each customise a t-shirt! You can find my half of the collab over on Annie's lovely blog. Enjoy!

Hello all! I am so excited and honored to get to guest post here on Bramble and Lace! For this post, Zoe and I each challenged each other to share our take on a D.I.Y. t-shirt. For mine, I wanted to focus on some tongue in cheek typography on an oversized silo! This process was actually super fast and easy and would definitely make a great gift! Read on for the full tutorial!

An Iron
Fabric Paint/Paintbrush
Wax Paper

For the typography, all I did was print out the typography I wanted to display on regular printer paper (You can download the template I created here). Then I copied the typography onto wax paper (you can also use freezer paper) and cut the stencil out using scissors. I strongly recommend you using an exacto knife though, as scissors were a little labor intensive.

Next I ironed on the stencil (I placed a piece of paper on the back to make sure the paper did not stick to the iron) and made sure that it was really stuck on the fabric.

Once the stencil was securely placed I added a dollop of paint into the center of each letter and then spread it out using a flat paintbrush. I only did one coat and I wouldn't suggest doing anymore coats because you don't want the graphic to get too thick.

Finally just dry the paint with a hairdryer until it is dry to the touch and remove the stencil!

Good afternoon and welcome to the brand-spankin-new! I am over the moon to have finally taken the plunge to register my own domain and kiss goodbye to the old, as well as give ze blog a design overhaul thanks to the babes over at 17th Avenue. SO MUCH LOVE. I've been thinking about registering my own domain for a long time, and after my uni exams this week I decided this would be the perfect time to give Bramble and Lace a little refresher! I hope you like the changes as much as I do!

Aside from blog changes, life is pretty hectic but exciting. I finished my first year of uni last Thursday (!!??), and am currently recuperating before flying to India next week to work on a health audit with other Population Health students. I'll be in India for two weeks, and then the day after I get back I'm heading over to Byron with the family for 10 days. It's funny how life works out- India has been on the top of my travel to-do list since forever, and 6 months ago I never would have thought that I'd be heading there this November!

Hope your Monday is a lovely one. As always, much love x
