INDIA PHOTO DIARY

Saturday, 26 December 2015

Hey hi hello (and merry christmas!).  I hope you all had a lovely day with friends and family and are slowly but surely recovering from your food comas. A bit of a photo-heavy post today, documenting some hectic but incredible December adventures. It's definitely been quieter on the blog lately than I would have liked, but I had literally next to no internet for the entirety of the month thanks to a combination of rural travelling and a crappy phone plan soo this is the first chance I've had to properly sit down and write up a post! The first half of December was spent in rural India with a group of students from my uni, working on a population health audit. India has been on the top of my bucket list since forever, and it certainly didn't disappoint; both the country and people are beautiful! We stayed in Bangalore for a couple of days, then headed out to Kolar district where we stayed in a village and conducted all our fieldwork. After we finished up doing our public health work, we left Kolar district and flew to Kochi for the last few days of our trip. We stayed in a very touristy area and so we were able to do a bit of shopping and relaxing before making the trip back to Perth. All in all, it was a truly incredible trip made even better by the fabulous bunch of people I spent it with. I didn't take my DSLR with me so all of these were taken with my iPhone 4s! Hope you enjoy the photos, much love x
