Happy Thursday, fabulous people! Here I am again, writing a post at 1 in the morning... I think I'm incapable of a normal sleep schedule. But no ragretz because I felt a sudden burst of creativity and decided to make good use of it by writing up some new blog content. Yay for productive 1am wake ups!

I'm not usually one for making New Years Resolutions (bc let's be honest, who actually keeps them?) but this year I've set myself a few goals that I hope to accomplish throughout the year. Read on!

Take time out for you. In 2015 I was definitely guilty of over-scheduling and not taking time each week to do something for myself. 2016 is set to be an equally, if not busier year, but I'm determined to make a set day each week to relax and rewind without the stress of other commitments.

Learn a new language. 2015 marked the end of my formal French studies, which was both a relief and also a pretty sad occasion. Luckily for me, my mum speaks French to me at home so I will hopefully be able to keep it up to a good standard! In 2016 I want to make it a priority to start taking my Swahili studies seriously. I also picked up a Hindi language course while I was in India that I want to start as well.

Go meat-free at least twice a week. This one shouldn't be too hard as my family don't eat meat every day anyway, but I do want to make a conscious effort to cut down.

Be confident in your own ability. This year I'm starting my second year of uni, as well as taking on a volunteering position that involves managing and coordinating a number of volunteers. While I'm super excited for both of these things, its very easy to start doubting your own ability when you're faced with new challenges. In 2016, I want to make sure I trust in myself to be able to manage whatever challenge is thrown at me!

Post at least once a week. This is on my New Years Resolutions list every year, but so far I've never been able to stick to it. I have a tendency to procrastinate on blog posts, but in 2016 I am determined to properly plan out my posts a month in advance so I can ensure quality, consistent content all year round.

More OOTD posts. I started posting fashion-related posts more and more towards the end of 2015, and I realised that I absolutely loved fashion blogging and you guys seemed to really enjoy the posts too! In 2016 I'm hoping to definitely do more of these types of posts- the only challenge is finding someone to take my photos on a regular basis!

Start a Youtube channel. Say wat? Yes, it's true! You guys have been asking me for ages whether or not I'm going to be starting up a Youtube channel to go along with my blog, but I never got around to it. But after looking through the responses to my recent reader survey I realised that video content is something you would really love to see on B&L! I hope to make regular Youtube videos during 2016.

This last point leads me onto my other big announcement... I made my first Youtube video! The video is just a little introduction to say howdy to the YT community. Sorry for my awkwardness- I am totally not used to talking to a camera but I'm sure I'll improve over time! I have a few video ideas, mainly revolving around fashion and DIYs, but I would love to know what sort of videos you guys would like to see! Please let me know in the comments so I can get started creating some more vids for you guys! I'm hardly following anyone at the moment, so let me know if you guys have youtube channels and I'll be sure to check them out.

It's now 2am so I should probably (definitely) get some much-needed shut eye. Until next time, internet friends! x

Tree of Life top // Ally skirt // Nimbin necklace

Happy New Year frands!! While I was in Byron I thought I’d take advantage of the beautiful scenery across the road and shoot this little post for you all. This was my first time taking blog photos with REAL PEOPLE WALKING PAST and not gonna lie, it was preeetty awkward… every single surfer and runner in Byron Bay seemed to have decided to go out at the exact same time as us, which ended with quite a few questioning stares from people. The things I do for blogging! But HEY it’s all good because the photos turned out really nice and it felt a lot more professional than my backyard!

My reader survey is still open- thank you to everyone who has taken the time to fill it out so far, I’ve been really blown away by the amount of people who’ve done it and your comments have been so helpful and lovely! If you haven’t done so already, you can fill it out here.  Happy Monday! x
