Life in Hong Kong

Hello hello!!! How are things!

Life has certainly turned topsy-turvy since my last post. Those of you who follow my instagram will know that at the beginning of the year, I packed up my life into two suitcases and moved to Hong Kong! I'm here on a government scholarship, and will be in Hong Kong for around 6 months. After that I'm going to be spending the rest of the year in Nepal. Needless to say, it has definitely been a huge shake up but I have enjoyed every second of it and am so excited to see what the next year brings.

I'm currently studying full-time at a Hong Kong university, which has been really wonderful. I'm living on campus and have been lucky enough to meet so many people from all over the world. My classes are quite full-on, but they are all super interesting and I'm quite enjoying the feeling of full-on study after 2 years of taking a smaller course load to fit in with my outside work.

I'm planning to continue updating B&L throughout the year to share my travel, and of course lots of photography! I've also started posting a lot more regularly on my youtube, which is very exciting and something that I've been loving doing. I really enjoy editing videos and plan to make it a semi-regular thing this year. Below are two of my latest videos! One is a little compilation video of the first 24 hours I spent in Hong Kong. The other is my first vlog, documenting a typical week in my life in Hong Kong as I tried to decorate my room.

Another little update- I decided to change the name of my youtube channel to 'Zoë Fau' instead of Bramble and Lace. What do you guys think? I've been enjoying the change, as I was beginning to feel as though good old B&L was not super representative of the content I wanted to be making. I'm going to keep my blog name the same for now, but I would be really interested to hear what you think about my old vs new content name.

Much love!
